Smoke Plume Seen Coming From Top Of Quincy Apartment Building (Developing)

Smoke from a multi-alarm fire was seen pouring from the top of a Quincy apartment building, NBC10 Boston reports.

The fire was reported at the 60 block of Willard Street on Friday afternoon, May 26, according to Quincy Police on Facebook. The fire was said to be in a brick apartment building on that street. 

Willard Street was closed from Robertson to the Milton Line as crews work to battle the blaze, police added. People were being told to avoid the area as a result. 

The fire even caused delays on I-93 south near Exit 9, MassDOT said on Twitter.
